About me

I am a psychologist, certified cognitive behavioral therapist, trainer, and researcher with over twenty years of experience applying evidence-based psychology to work with individuals and organizations.

I hold a doctorate in psychology with research focused on trauma and post-traumatic stress.

My work combines clinical expertise, scientific training, and practical experience to help individuals and professionals create meaningful and lasting change.

I hold current certificates from the Polish Society for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, the European Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies, and the Beck Institute in the USA.

I am the first female therapist in Poland to be awarded the title of Beck Institute CBT Certified Clinician.

Dr. Aaron T. Beck, the father of CBT, established the institute. The Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy is widely recognized as one of the most respected CBT training institutions worldwide.

I work with adults 20 years or older.

As a former expat, I work with expatriates seeking high-quality psychological therapy, coaching, and counseling in English in Kraków or anywhere else (online).

I do not work with: eating disorders, schizophrenia, schizoid and schizotypal personality disorders, schizoaffective disorder. I do not work with children or adolescents either.

Methods I use in my work:

  • classic Beckian cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) – this is the basis of my approach,
  • elements of schema therapy,
  • dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) techniques (a full course of DBT requires attending additional forms of group therapy),
  • mindfulness-based cognitive therapy techniques.

I also conduct group trainings, e.g., as a leader of Family Connections.

Why CBT?

As an undergraduate, I realized that cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a logical, effective, and proven psychological treatment method. Therefore, I decided to study it. Between 2002 and 2004, I learned it directly from British CBT experts at the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre (OCTC). Since then, I have continued to broaden my knowledge and skills by regularly attending a 4-year training, workshops, and courses. I also submit my work for supervision.

I spent six years conducting behavioral research at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Rome. I understand how challenging moving to another country may be. Therefore, after returning to Krakow, I joined an international organization, SIETAR, where I became qualified as a diversity trainer. Thanks to those experiences, I can effectively use my coaching and training qualifications to help other expats. I offer expat coaching and psychological therapy in English in Kraków and online.

Privately, I am married and have two kids.
